Atheism VS Lake Of Freaking Fire
Post #1As Christopher Hitchens said, " whatever reasons you use to reject every other God, simply apply those same reasons to the God of the Bible " Well if I did that I'd be an atheist, but the Lake of Fire is no beuno. I'd rather go to heaven confused, then go to hell unconfused. Is eternal damnation a good reason not to be an atheist? I'm scared of Lake of Fire, and don't want to go there. Atheism has no Lake of Fire.

Post #21Diogenes: 'Belief in God seems to us a self inflicted wound'
Thomas123: Yes and No, D.
I was born into strict Catholicism. I remember the Hell Doctrines , preached to me as an impressionable 8 yr old. The problem is that you cannot fully ' unlearn' these things once they have taken hold. It is a form of psychological child abuse, in my opinion and that is why I recommended counselling if you cannot stabilize your fears yourself. Has anyone ever dreamt of the terrors of an imagined Hell?
It is worth considering the fact that torture is an exclusively ugly human phenomena, particularly in it's most sadistic forms. I have no doubt that it continues around the world on a daily basis and I know now that it is a correct response for the human to be afraid of the ingenuity and imaginative sadism of it's own species.
Thanks!

Post #24Thanks for the advice but I don't like the Jew moderator otseng.
Actually I was fantasizing about cutting his Jew throat.
What have I got to lose?
I'm going to hell anyway. May aswell go for a good reason.
Hope killing the moderator isn't a banning offence.didnt see it in the rules
Wonder how clever jewboy will think he is as his blood empties all over his lawn.
Perhaps he will regret disrespecting others

Are you suggesting I'll be banned for what I said about the Jew propagandist otseng ?
Or what I want to do to his throat.
If only I wasn't an engineer and traced his IP.
My fantasy would seem less realistic perhaps
Good thinking

In human affairs the sources of success are ever to be found in the fountains of quick resolve and swift stroke; and it seems to be a law, inflexible and inexorable, that he who will not risk cannot win.

No, it is not. We should love God.
Imagine if you told your wife that the only reason you do things for her like massage her feet is because you fear that she might kill you in your sleep if you do not.

Post #29That's my point Sir, the hell card cannot be unlearned as you articulately put it.Thomas123 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 1:34 am Diogenes: 'Belief in God seems to us a self inflicted wound'
