This topic is related to another topic that questions why God would make rules that subjugate women. I can accept that there are rules in the Bible that subjugate women. What I don't agree with are the views and that says that all rules involving men being over women (or taking a lead role) are wrong. I question these views because there are some patriarchal standards that are good or that don't cause harm and/or the suppression of women.
When I've had this conversation in the past, I tend to find a lot of assumptions of how patriarchy should be (as if there's only one way to lead - the dictator way?) or I find a lot of double-standards. So let's debate!
Is patriarchy inherently wrong (meaning any or all forms are wrong)?

Re: Is patriarchy inherently wrong?
Post #31Patriarchy is a system in which male privilege is supported. We moved from a matriarchal society in which we believe there was equality between men and women to a dominant male culture. Men created our institutions, religions, and built a world based on male superiority. There was NO feminine influence in these creations. The female role was limited to marriage, family and home. Until recently for one small example women, women could not get their own credit established without husband or fathers signature. Women’s SIRnames are always male…fathers or husbands. This topic is related to another topic that questions why God would make rules that subjugate women. Post #32I know I am replying to a post over a year old, but just read this, and this poster apparently posted this link without bothering to read enough of the article torealizing it is satirical. It is making the opposite point the poster thought it made.mms20102 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 2:06 am Now you will argue as long they are two the child won't feel the difference this child has a different opinion

That's how she started her words, and between, I offered a debate to anyone wants to defend homosexuality and homosexual parents but apparently none is able to do that so far.I have been inspired to share my story by a courageous woman named Cheryl Parrott. Understanding God as a Male or Female is stating that this thing is not God, God can't be a male or female since both genders have sexual drive, saying that God needs anything means that it's a creation not a creator.

Also, what is your take on Biblical Jesus constantly referring to The Creator ad "The Father"?

If yes then Brain is not God
Let me tell you what God is, he is not like anything and yes when we say he in Arabic it's not meaning a Gender unlike when we say she we are specifying a gender
You can check this verse
Do mind need blood and Oxygen and other things to live ?Essentially then, The Creator is Mind.

Understanding Hebrew will make you understand why the word father was used, Hebrew is a symbolic language and people at those old times knew the difference between biological father and symbolic father. Also, what is your take on Biblical Jesus constantly referring to The Creator ad "The Father"?
You can check this verse
And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. John 17:3

Perhaps the better word to use is "It".
Do you also think that the ancient folk understood the difference between a symbolic mother and a biological mother?
Shekhinah: The Divine Feminine
No.Does mind need blood and Oxygen and other things to live ?
I thought you argued God was not male or female? Why allow for a double standard?Let me tell you what God is, he is not like anything and yes when we say he in Arabic it's not meaning a Gender unlike when we say she we are specifying a gender

Understanding Hebrew mysticism also has its advantages - Shekinah as one example, and deeper still, re the Qabalah and Zohar.Understanding Hebrew will make you understand why the word father was used, Hebrew is a symbolic language and people at those old times knew the difference between biological father and symbolic father.
