. . . given power to tempt man, thus leading man into sin and eventually causing him to go to hell?

Couldn't god have done it without Satan's help?

Will those take part in the 2nd resurrection also rule ? Where will they live?
No, they will not rule, as they will be devoured by fire (v.9) that is second death. (Rev 21:8)

No I asked about the "second" resurrection, not the second death.

Your follow up question is where will they live? They are not living cause they will suffer death, the second death.
If you want the word "second resurrection" there is none but just understand that they will live again until the 1,000 years finished. They are the deceived nations in v9.

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.
KJV

One must accept Jesus as Savior and stand for God's sovereignty over the Devil's. That is the final test for mankind. Then they "come to life"---come to eternal life---after the Thousand Years.
Here is what the Bible states:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

Any human who believes in Jesus as their Savior will gain everlasting life. There is no "and" yadda, yadda ..., or "final test."

Those who believe will be resurrected to everlasting life at the Second Coming.

All who died not believing in Jesus will be resurrected as humans after the Thousand Years and be preached the good news of the Gospel and choose to accept or reject Jesus as their Savior at that time.
Some "goats" will be destroyed at Armageddon, but the rest will go through the Great Tribulation and into the new world Paradise. Those that will reign with Christ will all ascend to be with Jesus before Armageddon. Resurrection of all of the dead will occur during the Millennial Reign and those that haven't heard about the good news will be taught then. Everyone who stands with Jesus after the Thousand Years are over and they go through one final test (similar to what Adam had to do in the Garden) will then have eternal life on Earth. They will "come to life," the real life (I Timothy 6:19) that God originally planned for humans to have.
You says, "Everyone who stands with Jesus after the Thousand Years are over and they go through one final test (similar to what Adam had to do in the Garden)". May I know what final test they are to go through? And may I know what verse?
I answered that in my previous post. We use our power of reason to understand what will happen (Isaiah 1:18). Revelation 20:7-9. Verse 12 states that the risen dead will be judged according to their deeds, and they are written in the scroll of life. What would they be judged on? Their deeds, and where they stand with their obedience and love toward God, wouldn't you say? Who says what deeds are acceptable? They would have to side with God rather than go with the Devil who is let loose for awhile to mislead them.
Yes, those who take part in the first resurrection are those names written in the book of life whom were judged according to their deeds. And reign with Christ a thousand years I believe in heaven in the new Jerusalem.
So who will take part in the 2nd resurrection? Will they also rule and where will they live?
The wicked dead will take part in the second resurrection after the thousand years.
And when the thousand years expired, Satan will deceived this resurrected wicked (nations) and compassed the saints and the holy city new Jerusalem coming down from heaven but fire (v9) and lake of fire (v10) will devour and destroy the wicked, devil and etc. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And no more bad influences. Then there will no more death, no more tears, no more sorrow, no more pain for the former things have passed away. (Rev 21:4)

Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.
KJV

Rev 20:7-10
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
KJV
Revelation 21:4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."(NKJV)

Will those take part in the 2nd resurrection also rule ? Where will they live?
No, they will not rule, as they will be devoured by fire (v.9) that is second death. (Rev 21:8)

Rev 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Rev 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."(NIV)
I wonder which of these scenarios makes the most sense to others here. I am posting a third one: The first death is the Adamic death that all humans have to suffer, from which Christ bought us. The second death is the final death of all those who side with Satan at the end of the Millennial Reign. (Many will suffer that death at Armageddon.) The first resurrection is the resurrection of all those who will reign with Christ in heaven, the 144,000. "Happy and holy is anyone having part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no authority, and they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him for the thousand years." (Revelation 20:6) The second resurrection is that of all others, the people who will live on the earth in Paradise conditions. At the end of the Thousand Years the Devil is let loose to try to get everyone on Earth to follow him, and some will go with him. The rest will "come to life"---the life everlasting---at that time. They will live on the earth forever, in Paradise. The following conditions will exist for those people:

"The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand hand on the adder's den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea." (Isaiah 11:6-9, KJV)

"Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert." (Isaiah 35:5,6, KJV)

"And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them." (Isaiah 65:21, KJV)

"But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it." (Micah 4:4, KJV)

Does this sound like a spirit world? I think it will be very physical, with people enjoying the earth as they do now.

They will live on the earth.

But they do not all have to be resurrected at the same time. They will be resurrected as humans, face judgment, and either become everlasting spiritual bodied beings or die their second and everlasting physical death.

What are your explanation about these verses? Especially the words, deceive, fire and devoured.
Revelation 20:7-9
Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.(NKJV)

On earth, but will be deceive by Satan to surround the saints and the New Jerusalem but fire from heaven will devour them. Endtime scenario.

Human believers will be born again of the Spirit as immortal spiritual bodied beings. They will be changed, not destroyed as the human nonbelievers will be.

But yes, there will no longer be human life.

Is there any reason that there should be?

"But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it." (Micah 4:4, KJV)

Does this sound like a spirit world? I think it will be very physical, with people enjoying the earth as they do now.
The Devil will try to deceive all people on the earth after the Thousand Years, like he successfully did with Eve. The fire is symbolic of complete destruction, and devoured means put out of existence, in association with the symbolic Fire.
