In what way is Jesus the Father's Son? Did the Father have some sort of spiritual sex with an angel? If you believe that, you're a Mormon.
What is the Father's spiritual makeup? Is it some form of spiritual DNA? or is it something so wonderful, no man can explain it.
Jesus is said to be "The brightness of the Father's glory." What is the Father's glory composed of? It's the glowing splendor, a light from within radiating out. Jesus is said to be the Light of the World. Paul saw this splendor and fell to the earth trembling. In a moment, what Paul saw and heard, turned a mass murder into an apostle of God. I don't know exactly what he saw, but it scared the pants off of him.
Jesus is said to be the express image of the Father's person; the expressed image of the Father is to be the counterpart of the Father's essence or being. Jesus is of the same character or impression of the Father's substance, a substance that is essential to both the Father as God, and the Son as God. All the likeness of the Original (the Father) became manifest in his Son Jesus; therefore, Jesus is a perfect simile of the Father. This comparison is a metaphor taken from sealing; a die or seal leaves its full impression, its every part, on the wax to which the die or seal was applied. It's an inherent splendor.
Although the Son of God proceeded from the Father, and is of the same essence, yet he is a distinct Person from the Father. The splendor of the sun, though of the same essence, is distinct from the sun itself, though each is essential to the other.
And Jesus is said to "Uphold all things by the word of his power." An astonishing description of the infinitely energetic and all-pervading power of God. Jesus spoke and all things came into being. He speaks and all things are sustained. The Hebrews to whom this was written, would fully understand that the apostle believed Jesus Christ is truly God.
To deny these things is to blaspheme against the Holy Spirit, for it is the Holy Spirit that reveals these things to us.

Post #2No comments from all you who claim Jesus is not God. But if you do comment, you had better examine the above carefully, your eternity is at stake. No organization will save you; your personal decisions are all that count when you go before the judgement seat of Christ, and the books are open.placebofactor wrote: ↑Wed Mar 12, 2025 9:36 pm In what way is Jesus the Father's Son? Another desperate attempt to convince yourself in what you belief must be true by using the typical falsehoods of strawmen, major incorrect assumptions, misuse of scripturem and speaking callously about the Spirit of God.
I see you must continue to corrupt the meaning of specific scripture to force feed and prop up your pagan belief model, of the infamous trio gods at the strong bequest, initially, of Constantine and later by the Edict of Thessalonica, which was issued on February 27, 380.
And then leave a parting empty and vain threat as you speak blasphemy against anyone who opposes your beliefs; and in turn you then slander the Spirit of God as you do not represent him at all.
Good job.

Post #4While both "splendor" and "glory" describe something impressive or admirable, "splendor" often emphasizes brilliance, magnificence, and outward beauty, while "glory" suggests honor, triumph, and often a more profound or divine quality.placebofactor wrote: ↑Wed Mar 12, 2025 9:36 pm In what way is Jesus the Father's Son? The Father declared that He will not give His glory to no one else. But before the world existed Jesus have that glory with the Father.
That would demonstrate Jesus divine nature with the Father before the world existed.
Isa 42:8 “I am the LORD, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another, Nor My praise to idols.
Jhn 17:1 Jesus spoke these things; and raising His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, so that the Son may glorify You.
Jhn 17:5 “And now You, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world existed.
Rom 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse

Re: The splendor of Jesus Christ
Post #6Concerning the two periods of time mentioned above, keep in mind, the scriptures as a book had not been gathered together until the later part of the 4th century. You accused me of falsehoods, incorrect assumptions, and speaking callously about the Spirit of God, and that I have corrupted scripture. I accept your challenge. Lay out my falsehoods. Chapter and verse, using the K.J.B. or the N.I.V.APAK wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 9:18 pm [Replying to placebofactor in post #2]

You wrote, "Another desperate attempt to convince yourself in what you belief must be true by using the typical falsehoods of strawmen, major incorrect assumptions, misuse of scripturem and speaking callously about the Spirit of God."
I do not have to convince myself; I am 100% sure of the things I post. And if I do err, I am man enough to admit my mistakes. Why? Because I am not bound hand and foot to any organization or cult. My teacher is the Holy Spirit alone. For 45 years of Bible study, he has guided me through this life, through births, deaths, successes and failures, through good and bad times, through 3 children on the brink of death, through war, fear, love, and rejection. Don't tell me about kidding myself, I never have and never will. At my age, I don't play games; time is short for all of us, the Watchmen on the walls are making ready to ring the warning bells. Death and hell are around the corner. Keep your eye on Israel.
You wrote, "typical falsehoods of strawmen, major incorrect assumptions, misuse of scripturem and speaking callously about the Spirit of God."
Gee, you described the Watchtower perfectly. The Watchtower rejects all teachings of a person of Divine attributes called the Holy Spirit. The Watchtower has made "he" and "him" into an "it", a breath, a non-living entity coming from the Father. What nonsense.
You wrote, "I see you must continue to corrupt the meaning of specific scripture to force feed and prop up your pagan belief model, of the infamous trio gods at the strong bequest, initially, of Constantine and later by the Edict of Thessalonica, which was issued on February 27, 380. If you don't corrupt the following, you would understand. Hebrews 1:8, The Father said of his Son, "Your throne, O God, is for ever and ever." Verse 10, the Father still speaking about his Son, "And you LORD (Jehovah) in the beginning has laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of your hands."
Now, please give me one scripture that you claim I corrupted. please do not quote from the N.W.T., only a Jehovah's Witness can translate that garbled mess.
You wrote, "And then leave a parting empty and vain threat as you speak blasphemy against anyone who opposes your beliefs; and in turn, you then slander the Spirit of God as you do not represent him at all."
They're not my threats; they come from the Bible. To add or take away one word is to condemn yourself to God's judgment, meaning Jesus' judgments, see Revelation 20:4, and Revelation 22:18-19.
You wrote, "Good job."
Thank you.
