Hosea 5:15

Hosea 5:15

I have several questions that need the insight of others. My questions concern Hosea 5:15. The LORD is speaking to the prophet and said to him,

“I will go and return to my place, until they (the Jews) acknowledge (or confess) their offense, and seek my face; in their affliction, they will seek me early.”

When do you think the Lord returned to his place? My response can be found in Acts 1:9 when Jesus “was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.” In other words, when he returned to his Father in heaven.
Your thoughts.

Second question: “What was the offense of the Jews?” I think it was the rejection and the murder of the Son of God.
Your thoughts.

Third question: What affliction is he speaking of? I believe it’s the time of Jacob’s trouble, or the ‘Great Tribulation" the Jews will have to suffer through.
Your thoughts.

I knew it, if you had ever studied the subject in detail, you would have known it.
I believe the point of discussion is To share what you know. A supposition which cannot even be presented clearly is in my opinion deeply suspect from the go get.

It should not take 12 POSTS to squeeze ... I propose that the scripture is a prophecy that ..."Two thousand years from the time Isreal experienced [ A ] in the year [BBBB] to the year [XX XX] when Israel experienced [ C ] "

....

Israel was not struck in May of 31 A.D
Okay but I"m interested in your explanation of HOSEA 6

HOSEA 6:1-2
“Come, and let us return to Jehovah, For he has torn us to pieces, but he will heal us. He struck us, but he will bind our wounds. 2 He will revive us [The Jews] after two days. On the third day he will raise us up, And we will live before him.
I thought you said that the "us" of Hosea 6 verse 2 was Israël.

So, is the "us" of Hosea 6 verse 2a ("He will revive us after two days") Jesus or the Israelites?
The us are the Jews. ...
Has the" us " of Hosea 6 verse 2a (. He struck us,) stopped being the Jews since your post #46?
My final answer to your question: HOSEA 6:1-2
“Come, and let us (Israel) return to Jehovah, For he has torn us (the Jews) to pieces, but he will heal us (the Jews). He struck us the Jews), but he will bind our wounds (all of Israel. 2 He will revive us [The Jews] after two days. On the third day he will raise us (the Jews) up, And we (Israel) will live before him.
The Jews were not blessed, or punished for their faith, or lack of it, nor their sins. His blessings and his punishments have been and continue to be handed out for their good.
Hmmm! For their good? Over a million were murdered by the Romans and 6 million by Hitler. Doesn't sound as if it did the the Jews any good. Sounds like severe punishment to me, your thoughts.

Psalms 44: 12-14, “Thou (Jehovah) has sold your people (the Jews) for nothing, --- thou makest us a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us. Thou makest us a byword among the heather, a shaking of the head among the people.”

Ezekiel 37:21-28, "Thus saith the LORD God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen (Gentile’s) whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side (Russia, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq etc.), and bring them into their own land: And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king (Jesus) shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms anymore at all:

(The following is still future) Neither shall they (the Jews) defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.”

This prophecy began its fulfillment on May 14, 1948. The generation of Jews is now 77 years old; they will be 80, one full generation as Matthew 27 has declared, on May 14, 2028. The Jewish New Year 2028 begins in late October of 2027, Yom Kippur. Watch Israel, watch Jerusalem, we are now standing on the threshold of the "Great Tribulation." October 2027 will be 2000 years from the moment Jesus was announced as the Messiah of Israel.
