Virgin Detector

Post by POI »

God looks to instruct the following:

"Now kill all the boys and all the women who have slept with a man. Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves."

1. How exactly did the soldiers know which girls were virgins?
2. Also, why did God tell the soldiers to only spare virgin girls?
In case anyone is wondering... The avatar quote states the following:

"I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness."

Placing this topic back on top for continued Christian "un-comfortability":

This topic never received a single response from Christians? Again, how might these ancients know which young females were the virgins to spare for themselves? Especially while knowing the tribe they were invading were apparently so dang evil, that it's safe to say that even the very young ones might have already been 'violated' anyways?

Is "save the virgins for yourselves" just Hebrew-code for "save/spare the young hotties -- for which you would really like to have relations with?"

You can also reference (viewtopic.php?t=42679)

Thanks

Christians, this topic was created 4 1/2 years ago and not one believer has responded. The silence is quite deafening, in that by applying the most basic of common sense, this Bible passage was an applied justification for rape. It's no wonder no Christian will touch this thread.
