It would be easier for me to chuckle at this if it didn't represent the thinking of so many people.

The "circular reasoning" theme is well done, but i have a good many neighbours who find its simplistic approach meaningful.

Why do you suppose that they would do this?

It made me laugh. This type of humor reminds me of Jonathan Swift.

That was funny, thanks for the laugh. There's even a sequel. Like the bunyip, though, I also felt concern that some people actually think this way. Possibly that's why some were not sure it was satire.
