They have fought countless foes in the perpetration of their noble message (evidence, logic, facts, reason), yet bravely continue their plight of truth. Dauntless and enduring, their message miraculously survives today, even despite the hoards of autocratic homosexual liberal communist abortionists currently controlling our society.

Beware of Liberals; do not succumb to their evil agenda! They will try to smooth talk you, catch you off guard, lead you astray. They will inquire as to why "so called moral Christians" are not concerned with the "real" matters plaquing our world; global poverty, insufficient health care, the energy crisis, global warming, the national debt, inflation, malnutrition, natural disasters, plaque. What they do not realize is that it is the dreaded HOMOSEXUALS who are perpetrating all these ailments!!! It's True!!!

(3) One must make their social stance known. A few suggestions:

- Make all your posts on message boards related to homosexuality. Never talk about anything that actually matters. Start lots of anti-homo/liberal/evolutionist/feminist/abortionist/ect threads, but never present any actual arguments or evidence. Especially evidence. Evidence is for liberals.

- Loudly exclaim "Ewww that's gross" whenever homosexuality is mentioned in a public setting.

Seriously, despite the best intentions of many heterosexuals, it is heterosexual people who usually destroy traditional marriages.

Homosexual people primarily seek the same basic right to happiness and security that all other people do; they aren't about some 'dark' agenda, to tear down marriage or traditional families as so many falsely and erroneously allege.

The negative response to homosexuals is exactly the same reflex that racists exercise against black people. When somebody hates somebody for being what they are, even if it doesn't threaten them in any real way, it is a personal problem, rather than anything the hated person has provoked.

Yes, such a phobia is encouraged, invented or instilled; nevertheless, it is a real phobia. And it is typically 'fear' that is behind such hatred.

I patiently waited most of my life to see such hatred directed at "sin" (or the perception of it), but so many times I saw PEOPLE being hated rather than 'sin' itself.

In the first grade, I was taught: (sing along) "Yes, Jesus Loves Me"...

But in my adulthood it was changd to: "Yes, Jesus Hates Fags".

Now, I used that newer lyric for illustrative purposes, but in my decades of quiet patience concerning homosexuality, I paid very close attention to what people (Christians) said/felt about homosexuals, and after about 40 years, I realized that the way Christians are "taught" to deal with gays, is not particularly OF God (even if they consider it a sin).

At best, I can describe that which many homosexuals experience from certain Christians as, a 'popular' hatred; much like that which many Black people certainly have experienced throughout history; a form of bigotry seemingly justified but not proven to be actually sanctioned by God (or nature's God).

And that is why at this point in life, I am learning to approach nearly all/any arguments about homosexuality, as relating to the Constitution or basic Human Rights. It has come to that, just as other treatment of human beings has (over time). I believe the Bible addresses many things for the benefit of ALL human beings; but it has to be understood accepted that many human beings can/do interpret and teach the Bible differently.

Gay people and those others who care, should not sit back any longer and let themselves be abused by others in the name of God or religion. Not that any or all forms of 'militancy' should be deemed particularly viable, or that they must be considered the sole approach to attaining a reasonable status for gay human beings, but that being quiet, submissive or agreeable about what's actually going on (mistreatment of human beings) isn't the total answer either.

I do hope this thread is ironic (as you may have guessed, I don't really get jokes very easily).

I find homophobia quite amusing, personally - I just wonder why on earth anyone could care about someone else's sexual desires.

The only contentions against it i ever hear is 'It's sick' and 'It's just wrong'. it is this reason for which I never feel offended.

If someone were to physically attack me, I'd be quite annoyed, but when someone tris to insult me, I almost suffocate laughing at how inferior they are.

Yes, this does sound quite egotistic and it is, but the truth is that we all like to feel better than someone else and others being imbeciles therefore isn't always a negative thing.

At my high school, most people are no longer homophobic - homophobes are actually in the minority. I don't know if this is because I've persuaded people against it or if they're just too afraid that they'll get into trouble for offending me therefore only seem not to be homophobic, but I suspect that the most likely reason is that they've grown up.

I think that homophobia is mainly just a phase that silly little boys go through to delude themselves into thinking that their penises are bigger than someone else's because they're gay.

Of course, gay people are NOT any different than other human beings.

Ultimately, the troubles we see with traditional marriages have near nothing to do with homosexuals being allowed to marry; yet it is absolutely amazing how many people try to define "gay" marriage as a problem for "heterosexuals" who view straight marriages as sacred.

One or two things need to happen:

1. Allow gay people to have some union where they can legally share one another's lives.

2. Pass laws which ensure the rights and liberties of homosexual people; the same ones which heterosexual people freely enjoy.

The arguments will not end until this is done in this nation. Gay people exist; there are a whole lot of them, and they aren't ever just going to stop being "gay", just because some people believe they shouldn't ever have been.

I respect religion period; but it should not be FORCED as law upon those targeted as different or "immoral". That needs to stop (here in America); if it doesn't, then we might as well pass a whole Bible's worth of LAWS based upon people's interpretations of it.

After all, we can ban all kinds of things that people don't find to be "biblical" etc. We'll be like the community in the movie "Pleasantville" in no time. (And if you saw the movie, you know it's a great analogy of the whole argument concerning gay marriage, morality and the like.)

Finally, there is likely a massive list of (biblical) things which "heterosexual" people surely wouldn't like to have enforced upon them BY LAW period. And the hypocritical view that homosexuals MUST be affected by such laws and heterosexuals not affected in similar ways, is clearly as UNCONSTITUTIONAL as it obviously shows itself to be.

I believe that fear and bigotry will eventually give way to people COMING TO THEIR SENSES (hopefully in relatively little time).

Yes, I live in the U.S.A.

Unfortunately, there are many who want the "Bible" (and/or THEIR interpretation of it) to be THE LAW (instead of the U.S. Constitution).

What many who think in that way do not realize, is that the Constitution ensures their right to practice religion. But it is possible to let religious extremists abuse others so much under the Constitution, that at some point even it would have to be ammended to protect people's rights/liberties.

I've been careful to watch over time, and the evil things I see people trying to do to gays aren't called for by God, or this nation's Supreme Law. It will come to a head, and eventually be resolved over time; but for now, the arguments will rage on (as often they should).

In Canada, we went all the way and avoided the civil union double-speak. If a same-sex couple want to get married, they can get married. The sky is not falling. Traditional families are not being threatened. Religious groups are still free to discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation and on the basis of gender as they always have been.
