Welcome Deeps,
Nice opener. "Still seeking truth" should be a lifetime activity.
Some here claim that they KNOW The Truth -- and need no further thought (i.e., they base a life view on a book that cannot be shown to be anything more than fable, fiction or fraud; and which can be shown to contain errors and inconsistencies)

of different ideas... if you get more confused, you will be in good company.
One of the clearer thinkers on the board nickname is "CONFUSED".
“What do you think science is? There is nothing magical about science. It is simply a systematic way for carefully and thoroughly observing nature and using consistent logic to evaluate results. So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?

I don't believe that you will ever find truth, as such. However, through debate, you will eliminate much error. Along the way, I am sure that we can accommodate your aim to get even more confused.

LOL. In an effort to sway any influnce, might I suggest you mostly ignore my posts (unless you get in trouble and I have to intervene as a moderator).
McCulloch is probably right though. I am not sure it is really possible to find any "truth", but I hope you get as close as you can in your search. Despite no definitive, 100% certainty, there is a comfort zone in which you might find one in which it is reasonably sure of it being "truth". If you get there, can you clue me in?
Welcome to DC&R. Best wishes to you.

Welcome Deep.
I was one of those who thought I knew the truth and didn't need any other answers. However that changed and now I too am seeking the truth, but am finding that mainly I'm illiminating a lot of errors.

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.
Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.
There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.
