a good man passes

I will be posting irregularly, if at all, for a few days.

My dear friend Morry, for whom I have been caring 24-7 for the last 2+ years, passed away tonight at 11 PM CST.

Morry was 98, and the best man I ever knew. He passed peacefully and without pain.

For the curious, Morry did not believe in an afterlife, nor does his family. For myself, I do not know.

I will be posting occasionally, but besides the funeral--which, as Jewish tradition prescribes, will take place no later than sunset Friday--I will be occupied with finding another job and a place to live for a while.

Peace to all.

I am sorry for your loss. I am not sure his belief in the afterlife or not would provide much comfort if I was in your shoes. Losing someone close is the hardest thing we face and if I can do anything, please, let me know.

What we do for others and the world remains
and is immortal.

My condolences to you, and Morry's family.

So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?

Peace be upon you during this time.
It is a first class human tragedy that people of the earth who claim to believe in the message of Jesus, whom they describe as the Prince of Peace, show little of that belief in actual practice.
