Hi all,

My name is Herbert, just saying hello.

I enjoy my weekly Church outings, seeing my friends, the occasional sporting activity, and of course a quiet drink or 12 with the boys (ginger ale or non-alcoholic red wine of course hehe)

Hope to chat and maybe learn more about the good book and just general day-to-day Christianity.

Hi Herb,

Welcome to the forum. Do the church outings and the drinks with the boys occur simultaneously? I know of churches that serve coffee and donuts, but the "non-alcoholic" red wine in appropriate volume might make religious services attractive to some.

If the vino is not part of the practice, what do you find enjoyable about weekly church outings? Is it more than simply being the socially acceptable sabbath activity?
