What do you do or say when someone says that science doesn't tell anyone why something happens?
ex) 'Why do things fall?'
'Gravity.'
'Why does gravity make things fall?'
'Because things have mass, and that causes spacetime to curve, making things "roll" (fall) towards the larger mass (Earth).'
'Why does mass curve spacetime?'
'Because spacetime is like a fabric, and it curves easily.'
'Why does it curve easily?'
'Because that's what spacetime is; that's the property it acquired at the Big Bang.'
'Why?'
Is it just me, or is this just really frustrating?

“What do you think science is? There is nothing magical about science. It is simply a systematic way for carefully and thoroughly observing nature and using consistent logic to evaluate results. So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?�
