Where is a good place for me to search for an avatar and sig
Post #1I'm not sure of a place to look for avaters and sigs that fit the guidelines of this forum. I love horror movies which makes this a bit harder. I'd like to find something that I would like that wouldn't violate the rules. Any suggestions?

I downloaded some graphic editing software, grabbed some pixels from here and there and rolled my own.
The Bible is a rich source of suitable material for a signature. Proverbs, Deuteronomy (kidding!).

I made my own because "searching for an avatar" is just short for finding copyrighted material and using it without permission. But if you really want to "find" something, I suggest browsing wikipedia pages and looking for the images that are in the public domain; then you could crop and re-size in a word document.

On some of the forums I visit people can ask someone who has the skill to make them a signature, maybe we could do the same thing here? Some people might want to show off there skills and be willing to help others out. As for avaters, usually I would view a site of free avatars and ask the person who made it if I can have permission to use it even though it's seemingly implied that it can be used without asking. I like to play it safe though.
I'm not knowledgeable on how to make my own but maybe I can try to learn. I'm motivated to make something.

From the OP:

For a horror sig, I suggest, "I do".

Good luck in your quest.

“What do you think science is? There is nothing magical about science. It is simply a systematic way for carefully and thoroughly observing nature and using consistent logic to evaluate results. So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?

I like that avater. I've always had a fascination to circles of sorts and that one looks good. If you don't mind I will use it.
Thanks for the ideas.
Oh, and if I may I'd like to use that sentence. One ring to rule them all, One ring to bind them
