God didn't restore the lost tribes of the northern kingdom to their homeland as he expressly comments in this chapter of Ezekiel.

In this case the Israelites under Gods direction engaged in a genocide of the inhabitants already living there which makes it even less moral.
That wasn't my point though. God had no compunctions in engineering an outcome in order to kill those he hated surely he could have intervened on behalf of those he supposedly loved?
And that is what is prophesied in the OT. But again he didn't do it.
