For some people, if it doesn't end in "amen!" it's anti-Christian... which is silly.

Pretty bold statement in light of the fact that most cartoons do in fact promote some source of sorcery and in fact do show worship in idols other than the Christian God.

Just a question: must your OPs be so long. I get the point you are trying to get across with each of your OPs, but by the time I finish it, I have to reread it 3 times to remember what your debate is.

I agree with much of your OP, but since I am to confused to claim there is or isn't a God, I can only say, Thank Disney for their movies because without their 90 minutes of child relief, all parents would be insane.

The practice condemned in the OT is not witchcraft per se. If we take the Witch of Endor story literally it is about necromancy. The Hebrew word is כּשׁף, Kashaph which means to 'Whisper, or Enchant.'

However, it is in the Greek LXX that we begin to get a clearer picture of just what the Hebrews meant by a witch. In the Greek the word used is
φαρμακους, pharmakeus from pharmakon (a drug, i.e. spell-giving potion); a druggist ("pharmacist") or poisoner, i.e. (by extension) a magician:--sorcerer.

I suspect that we may have had the wrong target.

They're cartoons for goodness sakes. Kids don't sit there and analyze any undertones or hidden meanings. They love the colors, the songs, and the imagination they stimulate.

Well I am sorry, but my daughter day dreams about the prince in shining armor, not the wicked witch. She is 8. Tell me, is the Wizard of Oz to extremist for you to?

I don't want to cause offense or seem like an a**hole; but dude seriously get a life. It's only a cartoon. There are far, far bigger and more serious problems in the world that we should be worrying about than Mickey Mouse.

I don't think people are going to start abandoning God for Mickey anytime soon.
