Was Jesus seen?
Post #1To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

I must assume that knowing is better than not knowing, venturing than not venturing; and that magic and illusion, however rich, however alluring, ultimately weaken the human spirit.

No, the Son is not God's actual and literal Son because God created him (Son) through the Holy Spirit, who overshadowed Mary.In other words - please correct me if I am misunderstanding you - you don't think the Son of God is the actual SON of God. As in - God's ACTUAL and LITERAL Son.
Absolutely, the Son was the physical vessel of God, whose name is Jesus, in His incarnation. He's just some guy whose body got used as a vessel. Is that it?
Christ is the Messiah, the Savior, whose name is Jesus, or Immanuel, or Mighty God, or Eternal Father. As for the other thing:
The Son of God is the Christ.
True, Peter is not Christ; he knew Christ through the Son of God. This doesn't mean that Jesus was the man to whom Peter uttered those words.Christ confirms that Himself.
“Who do you say I am?”
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
[Jesus] replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven.
And this might not be Christ speaking, but it is the disciple whom Christ loved:
Take note of the phrase, 'and that by believing you may have life in his name,' the name that the Father commanded to call unto the name of the Son - Immanuel, Mighty God, Eternal Father, and Jesus. The name that the Son carried with him is the name of the Almighty God.but these are written so that you may believe that [Jesus] is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
How do you know Christ never corrected them when not all that the Lord uttered were commanded by Him to be written? I'm sure the Lord cautioned them not to err in treating the man born of Mary as the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Almighty God, as He did to us.The apostles all speak the same. You claim, however, that the apostles themselves were confused. Even the one whom Christ loved. And Christ never corrected them.
The Lord Jesus was talking to John, who knew Him through the Son of God, hence His statement, as you mentioned.Christ also confirms it in the book of Revelation - "These are the words of the Son of God."
Yes, indeed! We're not listening to the Son of God, whose body is resting together with the body of Moses in a place where the Ark of the Covenant is hidden; the real and forever living Lord Jesus Christ is the one to whom we have heard and learned all these things that I'm sharing with you in this forum. He (Jesus Christ) is the Almighty God who dwelt in the Son of God during His incarnation. One thing I think we can both agree on - you are not listening to the Son of God (especially not when you say that the Son of God is dead.)

Re: Was Jesus seen?
But this is what God says:
This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to Him. Matt 17:5
God is not the One who is confused. God, Himself, calls Christ His Son. His BELOVED Son at that. Yet you (or the spirit you are listening to) denigrate the Son to a mere physical vessel for the Father, as if the Son is not His own person, His own spirit. As if He did not willingly suffer and give His life for us out of LOVE for His Father as well as out of love for us.
Christ Jaheshua is the BELOVED Son of God. The One to whom God gave all authority in heaven and on earth (except over the Father Himself of course - which the Son would never attempt to exert anyway because He loves His Father and always does what pleases His Father.)
**
And here are words that Christ spoke AFTER His resurrection and ascension (all from Revelation):
To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations— 27 that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’—just as I have received authority from my Father.
The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels.
I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name.
To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.
Not only does Christ call God, His Father, (and Christ is not a liar; Christ is the Truth), He is clearly speaking of Himself and His Father as two persons.
You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
B - If Christ did correct them - as you claim - why did Christ continue to call Himself the Son of God (after his death and resurrection and ascension) to John, in Revelation - confusing John and all the people who were supposed to read those words? Do you really think Christ did that? Do you really think God is the author of confusion?
C - Why would Christ have taught them incorrectly in the first place?
Exactly.
This is one of those statements that people look back on one day and wonder "What in the WORLD was I thinking!??!!"
"This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to Him."
May anyone who wishes them be given ears to hear so as to hear the truth of this matter from the One who IS the Truth. May anyone who thirsts, "Come! Take the free gift of the water of Life!"
(which water is holy spirit, poured out from Christ Jaheshua, given to Him without end by His Father)
Peace again,

No, Capbook! The Son of God, per se, was the one seen, not the Spirit and Life that was in him, who is the Lord Jesus Christ, the Almighty God.
Jesus, per se, or Immanuel, or Mighty God, or Eternal Father is the name of the Almighty God. The Son was the man who served as the physical vessel of God in His incarnation.
As you quote Bible verses OneJack, do you agree or dis-agree with what you quote?
Luk 9:36 And when the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. And they kept silent, and reported to no one in those days any of the things which they had seen.
By the way, you missed to mentioned the forever name of the Father, ‘יהוה. Why?
Exo 3:15 And Elohim said further to Mosheh, “Thus you are to say to the children of Yisra’ěl, ‘יהוה Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Aḇraham, the Elohim of Yitsḥaq, and the Elohim of Ya‛aqoḇ, has sent me to you. This is My Name forever, and this is My remembrance to all generations.’
As the name "Jesus" an English transliteration, did Jesus speak English OneJack?
