1. Jehovah’s Witnesses say Jesus was “a god.” This is how the NWT reads (John 1:1).
Do JW’s believe Jesus was a true or false god?
2. JW’s say Jesus is a created being.
When was Jesus (capital or lower case g) created?
I look forward to your responses to one or both questions.

Is Jesus still unequal to God even today ? If so, why? Upon what basis?

I missed to notice power and authority, yes, they are equal as the Father give Jesus all the authority but not equal in rank.

Relational subordination is simply a term to describe the relationship that exists among God the Father and Son Jesus.

Post #738So is the glorified Jesus today, now that he has returned to heaven in "relational subordination" to his Father? If so, why? Upon what basis?

Post #739Yes, Jesus is still the Son and the Father is still the Father, that is still their relationship.JehovahsWitness wrote: ↑Tue Mar 11, 2025 4:04 amSo is the glorified Jesus today, now that he has returned to heaven in "relational subordination" to his Father? If so, why? Upon what basis?
Jesus sit at the right hand of the Father's throne.
(NRSVue) Heb 12:2 looking to Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God

Re: Questions about Jesus and JW’s
Post #740That is true. There is no disagreement in that. The disagreement is when you say that the Son and the Father are equal in authority and somehow because they are both Spirits today, they are both God.Capbook wrote: ↑Tue Mar 11, 2025 4:40 amYes, Jesus is still the Son and the Father is still the Father, that is still their relationship.JehovahsWitness wrote: ↑Tue Mar 11, 2025 4:04 amSo is the glorified Jesus today, now that he has returned to heaven in "relational subordination" to his Father?
