No one will ever know
Post #1Does anyone have "proof" that God/Satan exists? If there is evidence I'd sure like to hear it. This being a debate site we should have proof but I can't think of any.

The article I provided which gives methods used by cyanobacteria to respond to UV and how it repairs damage done due to UV.Shermana wrote:"If you want to dismiss out of hand cyanobacterias ability to respond to UV radiation that is not my concern. "
The NASA Simulation was at 6.7x the UV at .333 x the Ozone. What am I dismissing? What specifically?

Since water absorbs UV light, the deeper you go the less of it you have. Go deep enough and UV levels drop to zero. Without an ozone layer, anything living in the water would do just fine if it was deep enough.Shermana wrote:Please copy and paste for this thread what part of your article claims that Cyanobacteria could survive in conditions without any Ozone.

No, this is not derailing the topic.
If and only if you can show that one of these two (or both) claims you suggested are true:
- The Higgs Boson proves God and Satan.
- The Earth came before the Sun (or plants are cyanobacteria, but this is already wrong).
That will be pertinent, but simply stating that Genesis is true because you make an unsupported claim about science doesn't make it true. You have not provided evidence to support your astrophysical and geological claim that the Earth came before the Sun.
I could very well provide evidence for a counterclaim of your unsupported claim, but firstly there's no need to do so until you yourself prove it right; and secondly, that's a science issue. Copy-pasting the information from the other thread I made would prompt a science debate here, where it doesn't belong, but everyone is free to do whatever they want.
Also, please, respond to my question of how Genesis can be accurate when we have this verse in it: Gen 1:7 (waters separated below and above the sky).
Do we live in a world where we have oceans above the atmosphere?
Shermana wrote:If you blindly accept Free Energy and Pre-existent Matter, but you refuse to accept the idea of a Pre-existent "Creator" of this matter, it is in fact Special pleading. Why is it not?
I accept existence as existent, and this is tautological. Matter and energy have always existed (always need not mean "eternal", just "all times"), so they didn't need to be created externally. External has no meaning in the universe until you can provide a meaningful definition of nature outside the universe. I don't see any special pleading in here.
