https://carm.org/cut-jw reports that the Jehovah Witnesses believe that only Jehovah Witnesses can be saved.
Only JW church members will be saved (Reference: The Watchtower, Feb. 15, 1979, p. 30)
Is this an actual Jehovah Witness doctrine?
Does anyone have a copy of this Watchtower edition or is it on the web?
Is this an accurate belief?

Re: Let's see what JW publications are claiming
Post #11QUESTION: What do Jehovah's Witnesses currently urge people to do and why?
However, wanting to survive does not mean you will; putting oneself in the "safest place" doesn't mean you will. Being judged favorably means you will.
What this statement does NOT say is that all those that fail to do this will die at Armageddon (or all those that do join us are guaranteed salvation). The Jehovah's Witness belief is that, even taking this advice, the final judgement rests with the Almighty (compare Zeph 2:3).
If JWs believe that some that are NOT currently part of their organization will survive Armageddon* why do they encourage people to joint them (scroll down)

Stating what a person needs to do to survive doesn't mean amount to a negative statement of destruction for those that ignore the warning or even a guarantee of survival. Certainly coming to an accurate knowledge of their creator and being in the only organization set to survive the coming destruction would, in our opinion be a good thing to do. Being one of Jehovah's Witnesses is definitely a wise choice to make for anyone that wants to survive. To illustrate: Any any (adult) person who wants to marry would do well to pay attention to their personal hygiene and get out their and meet people rather than stay at home without making contact with anyone but their cat. Does this mean that if they do bath and get out they are guaranteed to marry? Or simply they have considerably increased their chances? Do no dirty hermits marry?

Post #13RESPONSE: So this article is in error too?JehovahsWitness wrote:polonius.advice wrote: https://carm.org/cut-jw reports that the Jehovah Witnesses believe that only Jehovah Witnesses can be saved.
This is NOT a Jehovah's Witness belief. Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe that only those individuals that are part of the modern day organization of Jehovah's Witnesses will survive the coming destruction of Armageddon.
Moreover Jehovah's Witnesses believe that there will be millions of people that were never part of our organization that will certainly be in paradise.
Here is the OFFICIAL statement on this matter from the JW website - click on picture to enlarge

Salvation Only For Jehovah's Witnesses
Watchtower teaches that Jehovah's Witnesses alone will survive Armageddon, as only they have Jehovah's backing, being the only people that worship the true God.
