Jesus claimed to be God (John 8:14)

John 8:14
Jesus answered and said to them, Even if I testify about Myself, My testimony is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going; but you do not know where I come from or where I am going (NASB).

Why do some deny the Lord Jesus is God even though the Lord Jesus claimed that His testimony alone was to be believed (cf. Deuteronomy 17:6)?

Saying "Jesus claimed to be God" and "Jesus said something that implies he might be God" are two very different claims. The first is an outright lie.

Your opinion is noted even though it doesn't correspond to reality.

Making a claim that is blatantly false is a lie. You did exactly that. Ergo, my "opinion" corresponds perfectly with reality.

If a person (for example "Jason") said that they know every single thought of God then they are making a claim to be God.
It would not be a lie for me to assert that "Jason claimed to be God" if he indeed stated that he knew every single thought of God.

Thus it is not a lie for me to assert that the Lord Jesus claimed to be God when we are to believe His testimony alone concerning the things of God.

No... they are making the claim that they know every single though of God...

Yes it would. It is entirely possible that God chose to share every thought he had with Jason. That way, Jason would know every single though of God without necessarily being God himself.

They are making a claim to be God since they say they know all His thoughts.
To have this ability would mean that one is omniscient.

And that is what God alone is.

Did you not read a damn thing I just said?

How do you know God alone is omniscient?

I read it. It just didn't make any sense so it wasn't worth responding to.

What part of what I said makes no sense?

This:

"It is entirely possible that God chose to share every thought he had with Jason."

I am not going to scrape the bottom the barrel to reply to such utter nonsense.
