JESUS IS NOT GOD

Post by onewithhim »

I would very much like to get opinions on this subject. I'll provide several verses from the King James Version of the Bible, and I ask you to give me feed-back.

Jesus' words:

1) "Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise." (John 5:19)

2) "My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me." (John 7:16)

3) "Neither came I of myself, but he sent me." (John 8:42)

He replied, after the Pharisees accused him of making himself God:
4) "Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the SON of God?" (John 10:36)

5) "For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say....Whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak." (John 12:49,50)

6) To his Father in prayer: "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God , and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:3)

7) "I ascend unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and your God." (John 20:17)

To John in the Revelation:
8) "Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God..." (Revelation 3:12)

Do these quotations show that Jesus was NOT God?

Do YOU believe that he claimed to be God?

Before you can prove who is not God, you must first prove who is God.

Prove to me, who is God?

John 17:1-6,26--- A prayer from Jesus to his Father--verse3--This means eternal life, their knowing you( Father) THE ONLYTRUE GOD and the one whom you sent forth Christ Jesus--Verse6= YHWH(Jehovah) verse 26= YHWH(Jehovah----Psalm 83:18--That they may know that you YHWH(Jehovah) are the most high over all the earth.
The Holy Spirit is the Father of Jesus.
True or false?

The holy spirit is Gods active force, not a living being.
The Holy Spirit, is a Spirit that is Holy.
True or false?

God uses it to complete his will. All of Gods ways are holy.
Please answer the rebuttal question.

The Holy Spirit, is a Spirit that is Holy.

A. True
B. False
C. I don't know

One of these is correct.

Which is it to you?

Since its an active force and not a living being it cannot be holy, it is Gods will being done through it that is holy. And that is all it does-Gods will. Thats what makes it the holy spirit. Jesus as well only did his Fathers will-John 5:30, as do the true followers-Matt 7:21 who want to enter Gods kingdom( be saved).

You lose the debate. And my rebuttal proved your theology is in error.
That is why you could not reply within the parameters of the question
presented to you.

By the way it is common knowledge that a Spirit is not a being.
It is a Spirit. And what makes it Holy is it is not unholy.

There are only 2 kinds of spirits or Spirits in all of existence.
Holy and unholy.

The Bible clearly identifies Jehovah as God Almighty. His name is in the Scriptures 7,000 times, one place being Psalm 83:18 (King James Version, as well as many other versions). Men have taken his name out and substituted "LORD" in its place. Jesus indicated who God is, in the verses that I quoted above, in the OP. (John 17:3; John 20:17; Revelation 3:12; etc.) Jesus applied Isaiah 61:1,2 to himself being anointed by God---Jehovah (Luke 4:17-21). Can there be any question as to who God is after contemplating even these few verses?

Revelations won wrote: Sun Nov 13, 2022 10:42 am Dear onewithhim,

You claim that Jesus the Christ is just a mere mortal and is not God the Son.

1. Based on your claims, one mortal has the power to atone for the sins of all his fellow mortals.

2. Based on your claims our salvation and exaltation is 100% dependent upon a mere mortal.

3. Based on your claims no one could ever be resurrected or saved except by the power of one mere mortal.

4. Based upon your claims the heaven and earth were all created by a mere mortal.

How and on what basis do you make the above claims? Can you give a clear answer to each of the above 4 points.

Kind regards,
RW
You are not correct. I never said that Jesus was just "a mere mortal." When you can stop posting un-truths we might be able to have some kind of meaningful interchange.

It is recorded in the Book of John, to which is in your bible,
that Jesus stated, God is a Spirit. Is this true, that God is a Spirit? Yes or No?

The Holy Spirit is the active force by which the Father accomplishes his will. By Holy Spirit Jehovah created his first creation, the person we know as Jesus Christ.

Look at the facts
The Father and son both have personal names( as does every living being) Hs=0
Father and son both seen sitting on thrones-HS=0
Father shares things with the son-- HS=0
Many important passages in NT about Father and son-HS-2
The biggest--John 17:3-- This means eternal life, their knowing you( Father) THE ONLY TRUE GOD and the one whom you sent forth Christ Jesus-HS-0

I have already established the fact that it is written in your bible that God is a Spirit.
And it is common knowledge that God is Holy and it is even written in your bible.

Therefore the fact is it is written in your bible.

It is not within the parameters of this debate for me to
prove to you anything outside of what you will not accept or believe
or not believe that is or is not written in your own bible.

The question now facing you in your own life is...
are you going to believe that to which is written in your own bible.

It will determine the outcome of your life.
Not mine.

As for me My God is the Holy Spirit.
