Sure, Jesus returned, but
invisibly. This is just a pathetic attempt to cover up the fact that this was indeed a
failed prophecy. The problem with Jehovah's Witnesses was/is, they decided that they wanted to be so bold, that they would start to give specific dates as it relates to Biblical prophecies.
The problem with that is simple; when you start to give specific dates and times, when the time comes to past and nothing happens, you will look silly and more detrimental, you will begin to look like a
false prophet...which is something that God warned us about..
Deut 18:22 "If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD
does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed."
And what the God spoke about is exactly what happened, Charles T. Russel, the founder of Jehovah's Witnesses (WTS), made a false prophecy, so we can be sure that he spoke presumptuously, and was not of the Lord.
And why should we have believed him anyway in this regard, when the Bible clearly states..Acts 1:9-11
9After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
10They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11Men of Galilee, they said, why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven,
will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.
Now, I don't know what part of
that Charles T. Russell didn't understand, or what part of that the WTS don't understand.
There is/was never an "invisible" return, and to think otherwise is a lie in the face of true Biblical Scriptures.
