Paradise on Earth

Post by onewithhim »

When I learned that the Bible speaks of a restored Garden of Eden and the restoration of mankind to the perfection and endless life that Adam forfeited, I was thrilled. Who doesn't want to keep living on this beautiful earth, with our loved ones, and being able to do all the things we love to do---endlessly?

If God said to you today, "When do you want to die?" would you say "now!!"? I don't think very many people would say that.

We CAN live forever here on Earth. The Bible tells us that we can.

Matthew 5:5
Psalm 37:9-11,29

Why do you claim that "biblically" humans are not animals?
1. Nephesh does not translate as "animal" but "soul" as in a flesh and blood breathing creature.

2. God said, "Let us make man in our image" he said this of no other creature, so animals we can reasonably conclude are not made in Gods image.

3. Man was given dominion over animals (THE bible doesnt say man was given dominion over all "OTHER" animals.

4. Scripture indicates animal live and human life are not equal (Jesus allowed the demons of legion to possess and kill a herd of pigs'in order to free just two men from their influence; repeated animal sacrifices could not equal he value of Jesus one human life)

Two type of bodies are defined in the Bible -- natural and spiritual.

What type of body does man have?

What type of body do animals have?

Was the same word "nephesh" used to refer to both man and animals in the original Old Testament scriptures?

Was the same word "psuche" used to refer to both man and animals in the original New Testament scriptures?

<==================================>

If God used one word, should not the translators use that same one word? Do they know more that God? They obviously believed this to be the case. They knew that man is born as an immortal spirit living within a physical body. How did they know this? Satan informed them and all men of this "fact" when he planted the seed that, "Ye shall not surely die."

Therefore, men improved on omnipotent God's scriptures by imposing their beliefs on scriptures which were already perfect! Thus, animals become "living creatures" while man becomes a "soul" with its eternal life connotations, although in the original scriptures the same word was used by God to apply to both man and the other animals! The Bible goes on to state:
Ecclesiastes 3:19 wrote:For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.
This presents an obvious contradiction in the Bible. If man is immortal due to birth, then he certainly has preeminence above other mortal beasts! If two words were required to differentiate between man and the other animals, God would have used two words!

Maybe goddy god changed its mind recently, as there are people who are said to be possessed by demons.
Or maybe they aren't people, but animals...disguised... as... people.... :?:

I would say animals and people aren't equal: animals are better, at least in most aspects.
I've seen a lot more unconditional love from animals than people, as an indicator.
Animals live in a symbiotic relationship with earth, unlike people.
Animals can't sin, unlike people.
Animals don't shun others for not believing like them.
Weird, that... :?
Have a great, potentially godless, day!

This is an example of the fallacy'of .... "False equivalence"
Image

False equivalence is a logical fallacy that occurs when someone incorrectly asserts that two or more things are equivalent, simply because they share some characteristics, despite the fact that there are also notable differences between them. For example, a false equivalence is saying that cats and dogs are the same animal, since theyre both mammals and have a tail.

What I find interesting is that there are some who believe that they can exist forever on this planet in this universe, when we know that Sol will eventually grow old and die.

I have not heard any explanation which solves this contradiction.

Animals can't sin, unlike people.
Yet we know animals die. So we are left with an unsolved contradiction regarding sin being the reason for death.

Everything eventually ends. It's natural. The earth will be consumed, the sun will 'burn out', and on and on and on.
One can attribute that to sin. Or nature running its course. Or spoiled blueberry pie.
