I can't make up my mind. Should I be a Mormon or a Jehovah's Witness. Both religions sound very reasonable to me, but unfortunately neither are in my city. I would have to move, but first I need to decide which religion is correct.
Joseph Smith or Joseph Rutherford? They were both extremely intelligent men, and certainly well respected by their peers. I know every other Christian denomination is horribly wrong, and full of heresies. Help me decide. Which religion is correct?
I believe the Bible predicted the church would be restored to glory in the 1800s in America. Both religions originated in the 1800s, thus my dilemma.

Post #11I don't think you should do anything without learning more about Jehovahs WitnessesSacredBishop wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 10:29 pm I can't make up my mind. Should I be a Mormon or a Jehovah's Witness.
About Jehovahs Witnesses
https://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/

You'll find that JWs are more serious about helping people learn about God. For example, there are no Mormons on this site and I doubt if you will ever receieve a reply to this post from an active Mormon, but I am one of Jehovahs Witnesses and here I am. There are several JWs here ready to answer anyone's questions about our religion. Just click HERE --> QUESTIONS FOR A GROUP and ask away. (you might as well start by learning about JWs and move on to Mormons later if you still see the need).

Post #13I suggest you first request a bible study with Jehovahs Witnesses. You have no obligation to join but it would give you a better understanding of Jehovahs Witness teachings.

Post #14You're not far off. What the bible prophecied was a restoration of the true church after a long period of spiritual darkness. This would be after the establishment of Gods kingdom in 1914.SacredBishop wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 10:29 pm

Post #17KINGDOM HALLS OF JEHOVAHS WITNESSES

[Replying to Tcg in post #15]
It's true Jehovahs Witnesses do not build grandeous and overly expensive places of worship. Our KINGDOM HALLS* are modest, simple and functional and we do not seek prestege through the architectural splendeur of our local halls.
Here is a home video ofthe inside of kingdom hall (Rome, Italy); they all, more or less follow the same basic pattern.
* Kingdom Halls are what Jehovahs Witnesses call their places of worship

Re: Mormon Or Jehovah's Witness?
Post #20One should not choose ones religion based on any human; the question should be "how can I woship God acceptably?" For Jehovah's Witnesses Joseph Rutherford was one in a long line of loyal Witnesses, not a Prophet and certainly not to be viewed as our leader. If you would like to learn more about the modern day history of Jehovahs Witnesses you can watch the documentary "Out of darkness" ... (it also addresses the question of why the Christian congregation had to be resestblished in our modern age).
Part 2 ("Into the Light") covers the period from'the 20's to the 1950s
