Paradise on Earth

Post #1

Post by onewithhim »

When I learned that the Bible speaks of a restored Garden of Eden and the restoration of mankind to the perfection and endless life that Adam forfeited, I was thrilled. Who doesn't want to keep living on this beautiful earth, with our loved ones, and being able to do all the things we love to do---endlessly?

If God said to you today, "When do you want to die?" would you say "now!!"? I don't think very many people would say that.

We CAN live forever here on Earth. The Bible tells us that we can.

Matthew 5:5
Psalm 37:9-11,29

It seems that there no Strong Number for Eden in Greek.

I do understand your answer , you said earlier ...

So if Eden in Greek is "paradeisos" .... what is garden in Greek?
Gen 2:8 in Greek no garden is mentioned only "paradise" whom Strong defined as "a park" that is an Eden (place of future happiness, paradise. See below;

παράδεισος paradeisos
par-ad'-i-sos
Of Oriental origin (compare [H6508]); a park, that is, (specifically) an Eden (place of future happiness, “paradise”): - paradise.

Gen 2:8 And  God planted  paradise  in  Eden  according to the east,  and he put   there  the  man   whom   he shaped.

So . ..
---> paradeisos = garden
---> Eden = luxury/ pleasure / enjoyment

I have a question for J.W. When is this paradise on earth supposed to begin? Answer that, and I will have a second question to ask.
Excuse me for throwing in my $.02. Paradise will begin right after Armageddon when all the wicked are gone.
When you speak of Armageddon, are you pointing to the end of the 7 years of tribulation? Is this when the Lord sets up the Kingdom?
There is no seven years of Tribulation. You have the time that the Jews were delivered from Babylon mixed up with today. That seven "years" is over. Yes, the Lord is fully reigning over the whole earth right after Armageddon.

The Tribulation would not be 7 years in duration. Why would it? It won't take long for Christ to eradicate all the wicked. He could do it in one moment. Why do you think he would draw it out to 7 years?? He said that if it were not cut short, the chosen would not survive. (Matthew 24:22) Does "cut short" mean 7 years?
Is the last 3 1/2 years of great tribulation also called the "time of Jacobs trouble over?

It's going to take 1,000 years to eradicate the wicked and that's with the devils locked up.

I wouldn't say it will take 1000 years to eradicate the wickedbut it will take 1000 years to return mankind to perfection!

Since the devils are released one last time, I get the impression that it's the final house cleaning of the earth.

I happen to have a lot of respect for JW'S as I also fully reject Trinity.

I see where you're coming from but that final test isn't really because Jesus couldn't wipe Satan and the demons out in an instant but because he will use them to test the loyalty of perfect humans.

The millenium (1000 year) reign of Christ will have nothing "unclean" (morally perverse or wicked) in it, even though it's subjects will be imperfect.

What is your timeline for the Garden of Eden to be restored? Is it after the 7 years of tribulation, or after the 1000-year reign of Christ? If neither of these, when?

And when restored, you say it will be forever, is that correct?
The timeline? The GofE will be restored right after Armageddon when all of the wicked are gone and we can have true peace. This starts the Millennial Reign of Christ. Yes, Paradise will be forever, with a short detour when the Devil is let loose for the final time at the end of the Thousand Years. This won't really disrupt anything. The ones who go with Satan will be dispatched in a timely manner.

Sorry, when the devil is released, he will deceive the nations (the Gentile world). He will bring with him millions and millions of soldiers, "their number as the sand of the sea." It may be a short detour like you say, but it will be a bloody one. They will surround Jerusalem just as Titus did. Yes, they will destroy, but with all that said, the 1000-year reign will not be "paradise on earth." Zechariah tells us what the 1000-year reign will be like.

Zechariah 4:20-23, "The LORD said, "It shall come to pass, that there shall come people, and inhabitants of many (Gentile) cities: And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying let us go speedily to pray before the LORD (Jesus Christ) and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also. Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem and to pray before the LORD.

Thus said the LORD of hosts; in those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the (sleeve) of him that is a Jew, saying, we will go with you: for we have heard that God (Jesus) is with you."

They will come against the Lord Jesus, the 12 who are ruling with him, the Jews who came out of the tribulation, and all the Gentiles who were saved in the 1000 years, all will be living in Israel.

This won't really disrupt anything. The ones who go with Satan will be dispatched in a timely manner.
Ah, I don't know, it sounds pretty disruptive to me.

Are you rejecting this verse? Matthew 28:19, "Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." Its the same as say, Joe, and Tom, and Same came to the party, 3 people. Or by me some apples, and pears and tomatoes, three items.

Are you rejecting the understanding the Father sent his Son to create the heaven and the earth, and that the Holy Spirit was with the Son?

I would reconsider your comment and restudy the subject of the Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
