If Jesus was God in the flesh, how could He be tempted by sin?
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are (Heb 4:15)
If Jesus was God in the flesh, why would He learn to obey?
Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. (Heb 5:8)
If Jesus was God in the flesh, how could He have died?
He, in the days of His flesh, offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death (Heb 5:7)
If Jesus was God in the flesh, how could He ascend to His God?
"Go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.'" (Joh 20:17)
If Jesus was God in the flesh, why was His Father the only true God?
"This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." (Joh 17:3)

Saying only one God is enough, meaning not two, not three, and so on.It is true that there is only one God and only one true God, and that is the Father.
The appropriate words to say is that the Father was in the Son, and the Son was in the Father during God's incarnation. But it is also true that the fullness of the Father’s Deity is one in union with the Son.
The appropriate words to say here in this context is that the Father's divine nature was manifested in the Son during His (Father's) incarnation. This means that the Son shares, with His Father, in the fullness of His Father’s Divine Nature.
The Son declared this in the premise that the Father did all His works through the Son during His (Father's) incarnation. Also, the Father lived and supped with His apostles and disciples through the Son during His (Father's) incarnation. This means that the Son has full access to all of His Father’s divine properties, obtaining all of His Father’s divine qualities, being able to function exactly as His Father does, thereby being equal with His Father in every respect, because they both live as one in the union of the Father’s Divine Nature.
Correlate this to John 14:10-11.“For I am not alone, but I am with the Father” (Joh 8:15-17)
“That you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.” (Joh 10:37-38)
“I and My Father are one” (Joh 10:30-33)
The Father is the Lord God, but the Son, the man born of Mary via virgin birth, was only His (Father's) physical vessel in His (Father's) incarnation. The Father and Son are one in one Divine Nature, which makes them both one God called Yahweh.
This statement does not apply to the creation, conception, and birth of the Son of God through Mary. The male and female are one in one human nature, which makes them both one man called Adam. "In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female, and blessed them and called their name Adam" (Gen 5:1-2)

He created them male and female, and blessed them and called their name Adam" (Gen 5:1-2)
It does apply, however, to two persons living in one nature.
Male and female living in one human nature.
Father and Son living in one Divine Nature.

Where is that man now?and to whom God decreed that His name, Immanuel or Jesus, be called unto that man's name.

Post #24No, that man, who was called the Son of God, is not the same pre-incarnate Word that you opine; he came into existence only when the Holy Spirit created him and implanted him in Mary’s womb.HimWithin wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2026 7:11 amIs that man the same preincarnate Word who was with God in the beginning, the same Word who later became flesh? The Lord Jesus told us that He placed the physical body of the Son of God alongside the body of Moses inside the ark of Noah buried somewhere in the ME.Where is that man now?

Post #26No one was with God before the creation of everything - God was all alone. John 1:1 is contradictory to Genesis 1:1-3.

I said the Lord Jesus told us, not the scriptures. The Lord Jesus is the Living God and He is not the scriptures.Where in the scriptures did the Lord Jesus tell us that?

Re: Was Jesus God In The Flesh?
Post #30Sorry, I don't think they can be called equal, because Jesus said:
the Father is greater than I.
John 14:28
Jesus therefore answered them, "Most assuredly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do-ing. For whatever things he does, these the Son also does like-wise.
John 5:19
