Nicely said.
Some have argued that this is simply 'cherry-picking' but they are being rather dogmatic in their all or nothing approach.

You got two choices; either swallow blood, or swallow pride. I am a grown man, I will DIE before I swallow mine. Catch him at his school, and turn his college into COLUMBINE.

"I don't believe that either. I'm honest enough to say don't know 'how it all began.'"
It is far more honest to admit not knowing than to claim to know (with great certainty) based on reading ancient tales.

Excellent point
"Arguments that begin with, "There are only X number of possibilities..." are rarely convincing especially when it is easy to contemplate other viable options."
Even when there are not any identified viable options it is naive and presumptuous to present a few of which one is aware as being 'only possible'

Truly an excellent reply. Witty, while pointing out a fundamental flaw in false thinking.

My theological positions:
-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.
I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

"So your Godless God is precisely as unreasonable as you claim a Godless universe is. By your very own argument."
An excellent summation of an expertly reasoned rebuttal.

To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

I must assume that knowing is better than not knowing, venturing than not venturing; and that magic and illusion, however rich, however alluring, ultimately weaken the human spirit.
