Paradise on Earth

Post by onewithhim »

When I learned that the Bible speaks of a restored Garden of Eden and the restoration of mankind to the perfection and endless life that Adam forfeited, I was thrilled. Who doesn't want to keep living on this beautiful earth, with our loved ones, and being able to do all the things we love to do---endlessly?

If God said to you today, "When do you want to die?" would you say "now!!"? I don't think very many people would say that.

We CAN live forever here on Earth. The Bible tells us that we can.

Matthew 5:5
Psalm 37:9-11,29

ARE THE RIGHTEOUS THAT WILL LIVE ON EARTH FOREVER HUMANS CHANGED INTO SPIRITS?

No. Once a human is changed into'a spirit (through death) they MUST go to heaven. Heaven, (not the physical planet of earth) becomes their home.
Heaven is the erroneous eternal destination of most Christians. Everyone seeks heaven. At every Christian funeral which I have ever attended the presiding pastor stated that the deceased person is now in a better place. He or she has gone to heaven to live with God for eternity. In actuality, the Bible never states that Christians are going to heaven! It always indicates that believers will enter or become members of the Kingdom of Heaven or Kingdom of God:

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 7:21)

Although these two terms are used interchangeably, the Kingdom of Heaven applies to the geographical location, whereas the Kingdom of God applies to the inhabitants of the Kingdom of Heaven. We are told specifically where the Kingdom of God is located, and it is not any geographical location:

The Kingdom of God cometh not with observance: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (Luke 17:20-21)

So the Kingdom of God cannot be seen. No one can say here it is or there it is. It is within you. The Kingdom of God is in your heart and mind. So the Kingdom of God is different from the Kingdom of Heaven! The Kingdom of God consists of those who believe God and Jesus. The Kingdom of Heaven is a geographical area.

But as the eternal home of Christians is not heaven the same as the Kingdom of Heaven? It is natural to assume that the geographical location heaven would be included within the Kingdom of Heaven, but they are not necessarily the same. The entire kingdom could be much larger than its center or base of activity which is heaven itself. That is, the ruler is God the Father who rules from heaven. His rule extends over the entire Kingdom of Heaven. This will eventually include the earth which will be ruled by Jesus. Jesus is presently in heaven preparing a place for us:

I go to prepare a place for you. (John 14:2)

When our place is ready, we are not going to it. Jesus will bring it back to us on the earth upon His return:

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14:3)

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (Revelation 21:1-2)

Jesus has been preparing our new earth and its associated surroundings. He is bringing His new creation back to the earth when He returns and Christians will be with Jesus for eternity. "That where I am, there ye may be also."

Is the earthly world presently part of the Kingdom of Heaven? No, it is basically a colony which has rebelled under Satan and some of his angels and broken away from the kingdom. However, the kingdoms of this world will once again become the kingdoms of our Lord and Christ:

The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. (Revelation 11:15)

The earth will once again become part of the Kingdom of Heaven. It will not be heaven, but will be under God's rule and part of the Kingdom of Heaven as is heaven itself. This will occur when Jesus returns to take back control of the earth from Satan. And how long does Jesus our Lord intend to reign on the earth?

The Lord shall reign for ever and ever. (Exodus 15:18)

The Lord shall reign for ever... (Psalm 146:10)

And they shall reign for ever and ever. (Revelation 22:5)

And what are the born again Christians going to be doing after Jesus' return?

We shall also reign with him. (II Timothy 2:12)

And how long are the born again Christians going to be with the Lord Jesus?

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (I Thessalonians 4:17)

Where will Jesus base His rule and locate His tabernacle to rule the earth? The holy city of Jerusalem:

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. (Revelation 21:2-3)

Since Jesus is going to rule the earth forever from new Jerusalem, and we will rule with Him, and be with Him forever, where does that place us forever and ever? On the earth!

The scriptures never indicate that Christians cannot or will not go to heaven. After all, it is also included in the Kingdom of Heaven.

However, their home base will definitely be the good earth! :D

None of this addresses the question as to whether these Christians (whose home base will be the earth) will be living in spiritual or physical flesh and blood form.
There are only two kinds of intelligent free moral agents

1) human beings
2) spirit lifeforms
myth-one.com wrote: Fri Apr 22, 2022 9:43 pm The righteous human believers were changed into righteous spiritual beings equal unto the angels, at the Second Coming.

The question remains: Will these former human spirit being live on EARTH? For scriptural evidence that they will NOT reside on earth please see POST: Does the bible teach that humans transformed into spirits will live forever ON EARTH?

You will also need to addresss all the other issues (ie each scripture ) mentioned in the RELATED POSTS to build a convincing counterargument ie that spirits (not humans) will be living in earth forever.

Christians have their names written in the Book of Life as heirs to everlasting life.

At the second coming and the end of time, those with their names written in the Book of Life will be born again of the Spirit with immortal spiritual bodies.

So every Christian will reside in a spiritual body after Judgment has been completed.

Now all you have to do is prove from scripture that these immortal spirits will not be living in heaven.

WHERE WILL FAITHFULL SPIRIIT ANOINTED CHRISTIANS SPEND ETERNITY ?

JOHN 14: 2-4

In the house of my Father are many dwelling places. Otherwise, I would have told you, for I am going my way to prepare a place for you. Also, if I go my way and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you home to myself, so that where I am you also may be.
1 PETER 1:3, 4

Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for according to his great mercy he gave us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance. It is reserved in the heavens for you....
PHILIPIANS 3: 20, 21

" ...our citizenship exists in the heavens, and we are eagerly waiting for a savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our humble body to be like his glorious body by his great power that enables him to subject all things to himself.
EPHESIANS 2:6

Moreover, he raised us up together and seated us together in the heavenly places in union with Christ Jesus.

  • How can it be spirits that will plant food and eat when they have no need to do so?
  • Why will the Messianic rule be marked with its subjects having children when spirits do not procreate? Who are having these children since humanity has been wiped out of existence?
  • How can God fail to fill the earth with perfect descendants of Adam when God can never fail at anything?
When a theology cannot be harmonized with the entirety of the biblical narrative it cannot be true.

Yes, all scriptures need to agree.

Every human whose name is in the Book of Life will be born again as an everlasting spiritual bodied being into the Kingdom of God.

Every human whose name is not in the Book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire and perish for all eternity.

Upon completion of judgment and all rewards and punishments being completed, there will not be any living humans anywhere. All will have become spiritual beings or perished in the lake of fire.

But the three items which you questioned above require humans.

So those three events occurred prior to the final judgment and sentences being carried out, when humans were living on the earth.

Thus, harmony!

GOD failing to have the human descendants of Adam live forever on earth can never be harmonised with the erradication of the human descendants of Adam. God changing faithful humans into spirits after having commanded humans in their "very good" (perfect) condition fill the earth can never be harmonized with YHWH whose very word is a guarantee of success. This would mean God didn't get what he wanted, and this is impossible!
You propose a theology that presents Jehovah as incapable of fulfilling his original purpose which concerned human descendants of Adam and this planet earth. The error cannot be God's therefore it MUST lie in your interpretation.
The bible says God gave the planet earth to HUMANS, changing humans into spirits and then giving earth to them as another life form represents a failure of Gods purpose. There is no getting around it, you effectively saying Jesus came to earth to save mankind... but sadly couldn't and mankind will one day, cease to exist. You don't save something by wiping it out of existence forever!
