When I learned that the Bible speaks of a restored Garden of Eden and the restoration of mankind to the perfection and endless life that Adam forfeited, I was thrilled. Who doesn't want to keep living on this beautiful earth, with our loved ones, and being able to do all the things we love to do---endlessly?
If God said to you today, "When do you want to die?" would you say "now!!"? I don't think very many people would say that.
We CAN live forever here on Earth. The Bible tells us that we can.
Matthew 5:5
Psalm 37:9-11,29

There's an awful lot of speculation and imaginary scenarios going on......Can we just go with what we know has occurred, go by the Bible, and stop second-guessing Jehovah? He has made a beautiful planet for us to live on, and, in the long run, has made a way to eliminate wickedness and suffering from this earth. There is no need for an entirely different planet for us to live on. This one will always do just fine.

So my questions remain relevant. There is no second guessing involved.

Post #2283HOW DO WE KNOW THE BIBLICAL PROMISES WILL BE FULFILLED ON THIS (NOT AN ALTERNATIVE) PLANET?William wrote: ↑Sun Apr 17, 2022 2:31 pmHow do you know that?JehovahsWitness wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 10:53 pm
God already created an Earth, sun and moon for the meek ; we're on it.

1. We know God's original purpose concerned this planet since the garden of Eden was located near at least one river (the Euphrates ) that still exist on this planet today. Since the bible says Gods words must eventually be fulfilled, the original mandate must be fulfilled on the same planet about which it was issued ( compare Isaiah 55:11)
GENESIS 1:28
Further, God blessed them, and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth and subdue it..."
2. Jesus came to this planet earth and promised to return to fulfill the Messianic promises that concerned the planet he originally ministered on
JOHN 1 :14
So the Word became flesh and resided among us, and we had a view of his glory, a glory such as belongs to an only-begotten son+ from a father; and he was full of divine favor and truth.
3. The bible does not speak of the blameless / meek being transported but remaining on the planet after the wicked are removed from it.
PROVERBS 2:21, 22
For only the upright will reside in the earth, And the blameless will remain in it. As for the wicked, they will be cut off from the earth and the treacherous will be torn away from it.

Yes - we know that the bible has many answers but you saying that the New Earth is really 'Heaven' doesn't stack up.
Saying that the 'treacherous' will be taken away from it, only implies that those who go to the new Earth [taken away from this Earth] are somehow unworthy...nice spin but questionable...

Why would YHWH not simply create >>a different universe <<where the physical laws are not the same as this universe?

You must have forgotten the context of our conversation prior to this.No I didn't ...
You implied that YHWH could sustain the Earth within this universe, and keep it safe from the adverse effects this universe can presently throw at it, by defying/manipulating the 'laws of science'.
I replied that it would be far more economic for YHWH to create another Earth, where there would be no need to have Galaxies or stars in it...I asked why would YHWH not simply create a different universe where the physical laws are not the same as this universe?
A simple universe without any galaxies and stars - just the Earth and sun and maybe the moon and put the meek there.
You replied that YHWH has done this - you called that "heaven."

No I am perfectly aware of the context. You asked specifically about an alternative universe and I answered accordingly. At no time was the expression "new earth" (which is a blblical expression ) mentioned prior to my comment in post # 2269.
I am not a mind reader, so if you had the biblical expression "new heavens and new earth" in mind when you asked about an alternative universe, you would have been better to have at some point prior to my comment have seen your way to articulating that. In any case, my comment about an alternative {quote} "a different universe " does not equates to what scripture refers to as the "new earth.William wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 7:10 pm [Replying to JehovahsWitness in post #2267]

If you would like to know how the concept of "a new heavens and a new earth" as mentioned in Peter, fits in to the biblical narrative you have but to ask.

Post #2290In the Book of Corinthians, Paul is addressing living human Christians is the city of Corinth, when he writes the following:onewithhim wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2016 12:25 am We CAN live forever here on Earth. The Bible tells us that we can.
Christians shall not all sleep, but all of us will be changed.I Corinthians 15:51 wrote:Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.
There are two type of living beings -- natural and spiritual.
Paul states that natural bodied human Christians will be changed.
If they are presently natural bodied beings, the only change they can make is to become spiritual bodied beings.
Yes, we can live forever here on the earth -- but not as humans.
We must be changed to spirits.
