Paradise on Earth

Post by onewithhim »

When I learned that the Bible speaks of a restored Garden of Eden and the restoration of mankind to the perfection and endless life that Adam forfeited, I was thrilled. Who doesn't want to keep living on this beautiful earth, with our loved ones, and being able to do all the things we love to do---endlessly?

If God said to you today, "When do you want to die?" would you say "now!!"? I don't think very many people would say that.

We CAN live forever here on Earth. The Bible tells us that we can.

Matthew 5:5
Psalm 37:9-11,29

There is no marriage in heaven as there is no reason for reproduction there -- as everyone lives forever.

For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. (Mark 12:25)

God pronounced mankind very good for the physical earthly world!

There are no humans in the spiritual Kingdom of God.

The OP hightlights what the bible has to say on the matter without groundless speculation beyond that.
Except for interpretation as to what the bible means by that, and there is no groundless speculation. What there is is honest questioning regarding the interpretation and accompanying beliefs wrought through the interpretation.
If you would like to know what the poster believes regarding your speculations on living without genitilia on a planet far far away, you do well to ask rather than project your assumptions or attempt strawman arguments.
You have no evidence that I have made any such speculation. You would do well not to use such dishonest remarks in any further argument - stick to the facts.

There will be no humans having sex on the earth either.

Other animals will be doing so, but there will be no humans.

The root cause of your misunderstandings is your belief that humans will live forever on the earth.

But after the last living human has been born again as a spirit into the Kingdom of God, or cast into the lake of fire and undergone the second death, there will be no more living humans anywhere!!

The age of man is over at that point.

The earth will be ruled over by spiritual bodied angels created from born again human believers under the leadership of their Savior.

Human beings must be changed in order to live forever on the earth.
And with the change, how can they be regarded as 'human beings'?

For some, it is about the flesh and attachment to the flesh.

Obviously those who interpret scripture in a fashion that preserves their sense of identity with the flesh device of a human, require that they continue to exist forever - here on this planet - and justify the interpretation by making the whole prospect seem legitimate because they are 'helping YHWH prove that the flesh is 'good' - that being married to one partner forever is 'good' that having penises. breasts and vaginas forever is 'good' [as long as they are not all on the one form] fulfilling this idea through practical means, will vindicate YHWH in relation to the poor job Adam and Eve did and the price Christ had to pay in order to 'make it so'.

The flesh is weak - especially in relation to such studies as leaving children alone in a room and telling them not to eat the sweets on the table. Coming back after spying them eating some sweets and asking them if they ate any sweets and hearing them lie that "no" they did not eat the sweets.

And it was "good".

YHWH need no vindication so the interpretation is flawed.

However, YHWH is not mean or twisted and is happy to give such folk a place in the scheme of things. If they want that, it can easily be arranged.

It can even be arranged that they will be able to tolerate such an experience in the flesh forever. I have no problem with the idea. It is not for everyone - and I have no problem with that either.

That is why my answer to the question;

Q: "Who doesn't want to keep living on this beautiful earth, with our loved ones, and being able to do all the things we love to do---endlessly?"

Is that some folk don't want such a thing, and that as far as YHWH is concerned, "it is Good" if some folk don't want such a thing.

I get the impression that folk hereabouts who do want such a thing and who believe such a thing is the only reason humans were created, think that the options are limited - but to what degree, I am still attempting to ascertain.

What are the options available re existing forever'? We see that there are at least two. Heaven, or Earth. Spirit or Flesh.

Glaring in their absence is the scriptural support for this.

Where do you get the idea that humanity was just a temporary experiment rather than a permanent fixture in Gods universal family?

PSALMS 37:29

The righteous will possess the earth and they will live forever on it
How can the righteous (obviously refering to intelligent humans not animals) live forever on it (earth) if the earth will eventually be void of all humans?

The idea that "Angels" will "resume" their original role of caretaking the earth and humans being a temporary replacement can be biblically derived.

According to one myth, It was Lucifers task and they neglected their duties.

YHWH thus created humans in the interim but never intended that humans actually lived forever on the planet.

It is not myth which I support, but have seen the way some folk interpret biblical events that it might appear to be true.

Not with any validity it can't. The ONLY mention of "caretakers" of the earth is given to Adam. There are no verses that indicate the earth was originally given to spirits. A theology of gaps filled with an imagined narrative cannot contend with explicit statements in scripture.

GENESIS 2:15

Jehovah God took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden to cultivate it and to take care of it.
GENESIS 1:28

Further, God blessed them, and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection+ the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving on the earth.”

The myth also includes the idea that Lucifer was cast from heaven to earth, and - as an angelic principle - is involved...and that this happened long before humans were created.

The idea of Lucifer wanting to take over from YHWH as "GOD" has it that the Angelic Third being granted its desire...within the confines of a planet, itself within the confines of a Galaxy...

A type of prison sentence [re the confinement] in order for the host to learn what it means to be an actual GOD.

Somehow they couldn't take care of the planet because they were acting out their own version of a GOD rather than copying YHWH - so they showed that they could not be YHWH and having been shown that they could not replace YHWH, they were bound and humans then created in order to fix the mess the Angelic Third had made of the Earth.
